Back at work full time now, and working evenings in the Reindeer ... so haven't had much time to update this.
I've started working for my mate Catherine at a printing company in Bicester where she is HR Manager. The dogs some with me every day, of course, and we take a walk every morning, lunchtime and evening in some woods near Bicester called Stoke Lyne Woods. They are absolutely magical and the dogs love it.
These are some pics taken over the last few days.
It's my birthday today (not very impressed, I feel very old and past it) however I'm going over to the New Inn at Middleton to "celebrate" (I don't think there's much to celebrate about being 46).
Will take my camera so watch this space ... if you're interested in seeing a sad old bag trying to enjoy herself and kid everyone she's not over the hill.

Cliveden
|

|
Last weekend I attended another "re-enactment" do at Cliveden, in Buckinghamshire, only this one consisted of several different scenarios, not just medieval. There were people from the Boer War in South Africa, soldiers from the American Civil War, Greeks and Romans, Scott and Amundsen from the Antarctic, and Napoleon on his horse!

Kenilworth Castle - Part 1

I spent today at Kenilworth Castle taking part in a Medieval Re-enactment, working in a tent selling beer and mead, both of which are made to ancient recipes, translated from old texts. (And you didn't even know they had mobile phones then.)
Needless to say I had a great day. Here's some pics.... (more tomorrow)
