Some pics from the last few days.
In the first one, an experiment with a glass of Baileys (yummy) and a heart-shaped ice cube.
Subsequent pics taken whilst walking the dogs first thing in the morning.
Lastly a couple of pics taken last weekend when I was driving at the BAFTAS - I had to pick up my client (rap artist/actor Ashley Walters) from Camberwell, one of the less salubrious areas south of the river in London, and as the car needed washing, I was on the look out for a car wash. I was getting desperate - didn't find ANY - when I saw a hand painted sign saying 'hand car wash' - bingo!
Having driven up the narrowest street and into a ramshackle yard with my Audi A8, and caused a certain amount of eye-popping amongst the incumbents at the car wash who I don't think had ever had anything more exotic than a Toyota Yaris in their establishment, I left it in their tender care whilst I trotted off to the cashpoint (on the assumption they wouldn't take a credit card). Halfway there I suddenly thought ... I've just left £85,000 worth of car - and keys - with a bunch of total strangers ... how dim am I? And how am I going to explain to my employers what happened to their vehicle if if disappears??? Fortunately, it didn't ... anyway the car wash itself was hilarious - a ramshackle, beverley hillbillies, heath robinson construction and I had to take pics for posterity.

London Dungeons
|

Today I went with my old pal Julie, her boyfriend James, his friend Andy, Julie's son Joe and nephew Chris to the London Dungeon,  in honour of Joe's 10th birthday.
We also visited the Clink Museum in Clink Street, which was the first prison to incarcerate women and gave rise to the slang term 'clink' meaning jail.
Afterwards we had lunch at a pub alongside the Thames, where the ship the Golden Hind (in which Sir Francis Drake sailed) is moored. It is a surprisingly tiny vessel and very hard to believe he circumnavigated the globe in it over four centuries ago.
