Those of you who look at my Fotopage regularly will remember my funghi fetish ...
also a few other bits and pieces garnered in the last few days.
Some of these, sadly, are not terribly sharp as my camera is a very ordinary fixed-focus jobbie - no I'm not blaming the camera, honest, but I must have taken roughly 100 shots to get these and these are the best of a bad bunch! (It gets damp lying down there on the forest floor.)

Late night dog walk

Found this little fella whilst taking the dogs for a walk last thing at night ... he obligingly stayed still for me to take his pic (taken with my phone as I didn't have my regular camera with me!)

Jeremy

Jeremy in about 1980
Jeremy, 2006!
One of my oldest friends is Jeremy, who I met in the summer of 1976 in my first job in London. He was 29 and I was 17! We went out together on and off for a few years and have been friends ever since.
He now lives in a fabulous 17th century coaching inn in Somerset with his lovely wife Judith. Recently he stopped by to see me on his way to a 'do' up in Birmingham ... I recently dug out an old pic of him, taken, I think, in about 1980. And one taken on his recent visit, 26 years later...

Casper's (sadly ex) girlfriend, Em, is a talented fashion designer with her own label in London branches of Top Shop.
Recently she had a fashion shoot followed by a show at the Savoy Hotel, and to add a different touch she borrowed my two youngest dogs, Louie and Rio.
Here's some pics!
Credit obviously to the photographer/s (not me) whose pictures are obviously subject to copyright. I do have permission to use them! (They need to be enlarged for best effect)

RIP Widget

With Rio and Rocket

View all 8 photos...
This morning I had to take Widget to be put to sleep.
Her back legs just went and she couldn't walk. This is a common problem with dachshunds because of their long backs - they slip discs very easily and paralysis is the result. In a younger dog they can usually do something about it, but she was old and the end was inevitable. Yesterday she was fine, today she's gone ...
Needless to say I am devastated. I will miss her so much.
Here are some of my favourite pics of her.
